History

1871 Chujiro Konoike established a private firm and specialized in the construction and transportation industry.
1908 Extended the business to the district of Northern Kyushu.
1915 Extended the business to the district of Tokyo and Hokkaido.
1918 With the extension of the business, the firm was incorporated into a joint stock company with a capital of One million (1,000,000.) yen.
1918 The Company extended the business to the district of Tokai.
1920 The Company extended the business to the district of Chugoku and laid the foundation of a national network of business.
1945 The Company separated the transportation sector from its business activities and established "Konoike Transportation Co., Ltd.".
1961 The Company separated the sector of gas pipe laying and fitting work from its business activities and established "Otori Gas Fitting Work Co., Ltd.".
1982 Established Thai Konoike Construction Co., Ltd.
1985 Kazusue Konoike appointed managing director.
1995 Established KONOIKE TANZANIA LTD.
1997 Engineering works department of Osaka branch and construction department of Tokyo head office obtained ISO9001 certification, respectively.
1998 Nagoya branch obtained ISO 9001 certification.
2001 Seven domestic sections and the overseas business department obtained ISO14001 respectively.
2002 Increased capital by 10 billion yen with stock capitalization reaching 20 billion yen.
2003 It established Otori Holdings, Co., Ltd., which was a 100% parent company through transfer of corporate stock. 
It became a 100% subsidiary.
Shoichi Oiwa assumed the position of President.
2006 Hiroyoshi Tamai assumed the position of President.
2008 Morihiro Tsutada assumed the position of President.
2019 The company became a consolidated subsidiary of Sekisui House, Ltd.
2021 Hiroki Watatsu assumed the position of President.
